It's 2 days before I leave Austin and I'm packing the suitcase I will take on the plane. The picture is primarily for
Jonthy who will notice that I packed the yellow shorts. Daughter-in- Law Canan is having a Bon Voyage party
for me this afternoon and she has offered to take me to the airport on Monday.

My suitcase was picked up yesterday and, by typing in the tracking number, it is now in Ft. Lauderdale.
I really am committed now! I just visited the Queen Mary 2 website (again) and did the virtual tour
(again). www.Cunard.com/QueenMary2 I am excited! I leave Austin next Monday.

It's January 1, a little more than one week till I leave Austin for Ft. Lauderdale. The Cunard White Star Luggage Service will pick up a suitcase at my home on Monday
and it is supposed to be in my cabin when I embark on January 13.
It's hard to know what to pack. I need
warm weather clothes for the Southern Hemisphere Summer and cold weather clothes for
Japan in winter. Of course my new tuxedo and its trappings will be needed as will a stack of books. I still can't believe I'm doing this.
